About Dr. McCartney Herbert

Dr. McCartney Herbert is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), with a Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP). She earned her DNP and Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from the University of Colorado, College of Nursing, Anschutz Campus. She received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Colorado State University in Pueblo, CO, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Studio Art at the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO.

In pursuit of the best patient outcomes, Jamie uses evidence-based practice to combine precision medicine with patient-centered care. With a non-judgmental approach, she educates and empowers patients to meet their unique mental health needs and desired outcomes. Jamie considers psychiatry an art that involves integrating tests, such as genetics and blood work, with the patient’s perspective to reach mental wellness.
