About Dr. Good
Dr. Elliot Good is a doctorally-prepared Nurse Practitioner and owner of Amavi Integrative Mental Wellness. She is board certified in both Psychiatric Mental Health and Adult Geriatric Primary Care. Her educational background includes a Master of Science degree in Adult Geriatric Primary Care from the University of Colorado, a Master of Science degree in Psychiatric Mental Health from Johns Hopkins University, and a Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
Dr. Good is a recognized leader in geriatric mental health. Having both a geriatric primary care and psychiatric background, she brings extensive experience working with older adult patients with complex medical and psychiatric conditions. Her work history includes providing home-based primary care to adult and geriatric patients, providing dementia assessments and treatment in memory care facilities, directing a hospice agency, and providing psychiatric care in the outpatient setting. Prior to opening Amavi in 2020, she developed an integrated behavioral health program within a geriatric primary care practice. Dr. Good also has an interest in research, and during the COVID pandemic she conducted a program evaluation titled Telehealth in the Treatment of Depression and Anxiety in Older Adults, which examined the implementation of an alternative care delivery system to address mental health needs in isolated older adult patients.
Dr. Good is a guest lecturer on topics related to geriatric psychiatry and dementia, and is an adjoint professor at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus. In her free-time, Dr. Good enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, skiing, playing her cello, and traveling.
